Deleting archive documents

Archive documents are versioned. This means that when you edit and save an archive document, a new version is automatically created for the archive document.

When you delete an archive document, only the selected version will be deleted. If only the latest version is displayed in the archive hit list, you will only be able to delete one version at a time.

The archive document does not undergo final removal from the archive until you delete the last existing version of an archive document.

In the version history and in the audit trail, an entry will be record who deleted a version, and when. For more information, see Archive document version history.
