IRISXtract

In the context of the xSuite incoming invoice scenario, the IRISXtract data extraction software assumes the tasks of reading invoices and performing part of the verification process for the document to be processed. The solution is based on the IDR Toolkit from I.R.I.S. AG.

The documents (images) scanned by the xSuite Scan Client are transferred to xSuite Interface Prism by way of a web service. xSuite Interface passes the documents on to the web service of xSuite Bus, which, in turn, converts the document to TIFF format and launches the IRISXtract data extraction process. Then the IRISXtract IDR Toolkit called up by xSuite Bus captures the document.

The service takes the data generated and checks it for completeness (in Germany, for example, this might be a check according to Section 14 UStG [German Sales Tax Law]). The date is checked for completeness as regards significant values (creditor name or number, VAT ID number, IBAN, BIC, bank details, delivery note number, document date, calculation of the gross total based on VAT and net amount, etc.).

As a final step, the web service returns the data received from xSuite Bus to xSuite Interface, which picks up the transactions via the xSuite Bus Web Service and transfers them to the ERP system. The entire invoice capture process is carried out in the background. Validation is performed by the user, in xSuite Interface in SAP, xSuite Invoice Prism, etc.
