xSuite Interface Windows Prism 5.x – Online Help

Comparison with xSuite Interface 4.x

This program version of xSuite Interface is not compatible with the previous version 4.x. Automatic migration of old configurations is not possible. The working methods of the two versions differ fundamentally from one another, as does the functional scope of the versions. Even functions that have been adopted unchanged in terms of content differ in some cases in terms of the configuration parameters or the names.

The following comparison of xSuite Interface 4.x and xSuite Interface 5.x provides an overview of the availability of old functions in the new version. It also covers renaming and changed operation of configuration keys in xSuite Interface 5.x. This comparison is meant as an aid for a manual migration. The point of comparison in 4.x is the very final 4.x version. The table compares the names of the old interfaces, configuration keys, and macro functions with the equivalent in the new version.

Notice

Project-specific functionalities and new functionalities that were not available in the old version are not listed here. These are not relevant for a pure migration.

Notice

Details on the meaning of the listed configuration elements are not described below. Information on this can be found in the xSuite Interface 4.x documentation.

The comparison of interfaces and macro functions is not broken down to individual configuration keys or call parameters. Look up any deviations in the parameterization in the documentation's interface or function description.
